![]() While installing or updating ANY software in this guide you may be prompted to restart your computer in order for the software to work. So, uninstalling the game and reinstalling it isn't going to fix anything if you have the same problem as me (I actually tried reinstalling it, and yeah like I said it fixed nothing). I found out the root of my problem was that my Games for Windows Live kept on crashing, which is required for the game to launch. I uninstalled my Microsoft GFWL components again and re-installed it using the one in my common folder and it started working again. ![]() I do so, however my first Lost Planet 2 issue comes back, where simply nothing happens after I click on a DirectX mode. After the update is completed it asks me to save and quit the game to apply the update. I was playing the game as long as I wanted fine, however a prompt came up asking me to update my Games for Windows Live. That did NOT solve my problem, however I did find out that uninstalling my Microsoft Games for Windows Live Client and Microsoft Games for Windows Live Redistributable AND THEN installing the Games for Windows Live Client from the common folder solved the game. ![]() #Lost planet 2 pc system link install#programfilesx86/steam/userid/steamapps/common/lostplanet2, this path location may be wrong, it's just off the top of my head) and install the games for windows live client from that folder, even if it was already installed. All the steam forums and everywhere else on the internet simply said to go in the common folder (. Hey all, I could never get my Lost Planet 2 to run, simply nothing would happen after I clicked on either DirectX mode. TL DR My main problem is that if I want to play online by logging into Games for Windows Live I have to update to the latest GFWL client, however whenever I do update it my game crashes.
